ME™ Kwatakye Atiko Silvertone Earrings

Kwatakye Atiko, aka Gyawu Atiko, means “the back of Kwatakye’s head.” It is a symbol of valor and bravery. It is said to be a hairstyle of Kwatakye, a war captain of old Asante. It is one of the Adinkra symbols that originate from the Akan people of Ghana, West Africa. Named after King Adinkra in the early 19th century, the Adinkra symbols were designed to carry wisdom from generation to generation. We crafted these symbols of wisdom into fine jewelry that represent the essence of your heritage.
